We will be taking a guided tour of the Historical African-American Cemetery No.2! Bring the entire family out for a fun-filled & spooky evening stroll while learning about historical figures resting in this sacred place. Also feel free to check out “Eight Acres of History” on YouTube. It is an hour long documentary about the cemetery produced by the Lexington Public Library and local elders who helped restore the cemetery and unearth the history. We will work on scheduling a showing of the documentary at the Fig with a panel of elders who can share what they’ve learned over the years and family members they have buried there.
